Your Path to 2025 - Find Your Lane

As 2024 comes to a close, it's the perfect time to pause, reflect, and set the stage for an even better year ahead. In the busy-ness of daily life, we often overlook the importance of looking back to appreciate how far we've come. Year-end reflection isn’t just a nice tradition—it’s a powerful tool for personal growth, goal-setting, and creating a sense of purpose for the future.

For me, 2024 was a year filled with milestones that I’m incredibly proud of, from publishing my 4th book, Drive With Purpose, to achieving a personal best time in my 3rd half marathon, and celebrating 20 years at The Armstrong Company. But there’s also so much more—countless moments of joy, growth, and learning that have shaped this year into something unforgettable. Reflecting on those moments, I’ve learned just how valuable it is to review everything that’s happened, big and small.

Here are 4 lanes of year end reflection to help you get started:

1. Celebrate Your Wins and Growth

No achievement is too small to acknowledge. Whether it was crossing a finish line, earning a promotion, or simply learning a new skill, every win adds to the bigger picture. By recognizing your progress, you build momentum and give yourself credit for the hard work you’ve put in.

In my case, I celebrated publishing a #1 Amazon Release, being awarded Armstrong Presidents Club for the 4th time, and hitting my 200th podcast episode. These milestones were reminders that hard work, dedication, and a “Drive With Purpose” mindset led to extraordinary outcomes.

2. Learn from Challenges

Year-end reflection also invites us to review the challenges and setbacks we faced. These moments, though tough, often hold the most valuable lessons. By identifying what didn’t go as planned, we can adjust our approach moving forward. It’s about finding the silver lining in every situation and using it to fuel future success.

For me, this year has been a reminder that setbacks aren’t failures—they’re just stepping stones to greater things. Taking the time to reflect on the lessons learned helps me approach 2025 with resilience and confidence.

3. Set Your Intentions for the New Year

Reflection is only the first step. Once you've celebrated your successes and learned from your challenges, it's time to plan ahead. What do you want to achieve in 2025? Whether it’s a career goal, a personal milestone, or something that excites you outside your comfort zone, setting clear intentions is the key to making your next year your best yet.

As I look ahead, I’m inspired by the lessons of 2024. I’ve already started thinking about how I can take my experiences and use them to fuel even more growth in 2025—whether it's taking on new speaking engagements (let me know about your next event), publishing my next book, or simply spending more time with loved ones.

4. Take Time for Yourself

Lastly, year-end reflection is a great opportunity to recharge. Whether it’s a family vacation or a quiet weekend to yourself, taking time to rest and reset will give you the energy you need to tackle the new year with purpose and enthusiasm. In 2024, I made special memories with family, including a trip to Denver and Chick-fil-A days with my grandkids—moments that reminded me of what truly matters.

Make 2025 Your Best Year Yet

Now, as you prepare to ring in 2025, it’s time to take all the lessons, experiences, and reflections from this year and carry them forward. Planning ahead isn’t just about setting goals—it’s about building the mindset, habits, and energy needed to make next year your best one yet.

So, take some time to reflect on your 2024—what worked, what didn’t, and what you're most proud of. Then, use that clarity to create a plan for 2025 that excites you. With intention, action, and reflection, there’s no limit to what you can achieve in the year ahead. Now is time to “ACT” – because Action Changes Things!

Here’s to making 2025 your best year yet!
